Flaxseed is one of the richest plant sources of alpha-linolenic acid (ALA), an omega-3 fatty acid, but the form you eat changes how accessible its nutrients are. The whole seed has a tough coat, and some seeds can travel through the digestive tract without being broken open.
What grinding changes
