Leucine in foods: which sources provide the most?
Leucine is one of the nine essential amino acids. In USDA references per 100 g, grated parmesan provides ~2.75 g, roasted chicken breast ~2.33 g, cooked yellowfin tuna ~2.27 g, cooked soybeans ~1.36 g and cooked egg ~1.08 g. Foods high in protein are usually strong leucine sources too.
